Eris for plumbing shops: leaks, callbacks, repipes
Plumbing work arrives wet and in a hurry. Eris takes the first message, keeps the history of every house you have been in, and puts the whole-house quotes in front of you with the follow-up already underway.

Three calls
An example, not a customerA water heater lets go at 6 am
- Arrives
- A text: water is coming through the kitchen ceiling and the tank is in the attic.
- Eris
- You decide which job types count as emergencies. For those, Eris offers no slot. It logs the request in writing and pages your on-call dispatcher. When the replacement comes up, a photo of the tank’s plate gives it the model to work from.
- Stays with you
- Who goes, in what order, and what the emergency fee is.
The drain you cleared on Tuesday is backing up again
- Arrives
- The customer writes that the kitchen line you cleared has slowed down again.
- Eris
- Eris remembers the earlier visit and what was done, and puts the callback in front of you as a possible return on a finished job, not a new inquiry. A routine return can be booked inside your booking rules.
- Stays with you
- Whether the return is free, who goes, and any refund.
A whole-house repipe
- Arrives
- A homeowner with galvanized lines asks what a repipe costs and wants it in writing.
- Eris
- You say what work each tier covers. Eris prices it only from your price book as Good, Better and Best, leaves out anything the book does not hold, and, after you approve the exact estimate, sends the contract for signature. Open quotes go on the follow-up list.
- Stays with you
- The scope, the diagnosis, and the final number.

Questions
Which calls does Eris treat as emergencies?
The job types you mark as emergencies in your booking rules. Eris does not offer a slot for them. It records the request and pages your on-call dispatcher.
Can Eris quote a repipe or a water heater swap?
It drafts the quote, from your price book only. If a line is not in the book, Eris leaves it out and says the office will confirm it. It never invents a price.
What does it do when a customer calls back about a job we finished?
It remembers the earlier visit and flags the callback to you, with the history in front of you. A refund or a free return stays a decision for a person.
Can my customer sign the estimate on their phone?
Yes, once a person has approved that exact estimate. The contract goes out through DocuSign if you use it, or a built-in signing link where the customer types their full name.
Does Eris know plumbing?
It works from your price book, your job types and your booking rules, so what it says is what your shop set up. It does not diagnose. That stays with your techs.
Tell us how your shop handles a burst pipe and a callback, and we will show you whether SetPoint fits.
