Eris for electrical shops: permits and outages

An electrical shop sells paperwork as much as wire. Eris drafts the permit packet and the estimate, takes the calls where power is out or something is sparking, and keeps every figure and signature for a person to confirm.

Three jobs

An example, not a customer
  1. A panel upgrade, estimate and permit

    Arrives
A homeowner adding a heat pump needs the panel replaced and asks you to handle the town.
    Eris
Eris drafts the estimate from your price book, opens a permit case for that job, town and scope, fills it from the job, and emails the owners a DRAFT with the gaps marked. When you answer, it records your reply field by field and sends the updated DRAFT.
    Stays with you
Filing, signing, sealing and paying the town, and the classification.
  2. Half the street is dark

    Arrives
After a storm, a call: the lights are out, and the neighbor saw sparks at the meter.
    Eris
Sparks, burning and smoke are on the emergency list. Eris does not book it. It points the caller to your phone line, records the request as an emergency and pages the on-call dispatcher.
    Stays with you
Whether to send someone, and the call with the utility.
  3. An EV charger quote from the website

    Arrives
A form submission: a Level 2 charger for the garage, and a phone number.
    Eris
Eris answers from your website, collects the address and callback number, and books the site visit inside your booking rules. After the visit it drafts Good, Better and Best from your price book, and the customer can sign in the built-in signing page.
    Stays with you
The load calculation, whether the panel can carry it, and the price.

Questions

Does Eris file the permit?

No. A person files, signs, seals and pays. Eris prepares the case, emails the DRAFT to the owners and records what the town did.

What if a value on the permit form is unknown?

It stays unknown. Eris notes where each value came from, marks the missing ones, says who could supply them, and a named person confirms a value before it counts.

What happens when a caller reports sparking or a burning smell?

It goes down the emergency path: no slot is offered, the request is written up as an emergency and your on-call dispatcher is paged.

Can it price a panel upgrade without a site visit?

It prices from your price book and never diagnoses. Your techs say what work each tier covers, Eris prices it, and the office confirms anything not in the book.

Can I ask Eris which jobs are waiting on payment?

Yes, if you are the owner. Ask for the unpaid invoices and you get them oldest first. That list is for the owner. It does not go to staff or to an outside AI assistant.
